Artist Statement

Jan Min, 66 years old, is a passionate watercolor painter. His impressions are always colorful and with atmosphere and light in it.

This representation of light and color are playing a central role,inciting an emotional connection between the spectator and it! His favorite subjects are street views, maritime atmospheres and cafe interiors. As a child he was always drawing, the last 15 years he painted professional and he studied on the academy of art in Laren, Holland, where he lives with his family.

He followed several masterclasses with world famous water-colorists.,who inspired him to only use the watercolor medium.

He exhibited many times on many places , galleries and is now in the committe of IWS Holland (international watercolor society) to promote and shares watercolors all-in the world.(Last in Fabriano, Italy as representative of Holland)

His works were spread out to Bali, Djakarta, Barcelona , Delhi ,Canada and Bulgaria later this year.

He is a well demanded teacher and gives many workshops.
