Basking in the Glow of Monet
$1,200.00
Description
This painting was inspired by a museum visit, that turned out to be on a school holiday and the Metropolitan Museum of Art was full of older students. These four girls were sitting together, mesmerized by a painting of Monet’s. It was the pattern of legs under the bench that caught my eye and required a sketch!
I apply my paint with a palette knife, thus adding a lot of texture to the work and a mosiac of brilient, hight color. The evidence of the artist is obvvious in the strokes of paint.
Oil on canvas, 22×36″, $1,000.
