I am an engineer by education, IT professional by occupation but an artist by choice. I have an engineering degree and several years of experience in the corporate world, which I quit to follow my life long passion of creating art. I am a self taught artist with an extreme passion to create artwork using various media. I am inspired by everything around me and my expertise is in the usage of a wide range of colors and textures. My artworks have also been displayed successfully in various exhibitions in India as well as internationally (Singapore, Malaysia, Hungary,USA) and has been featured in the upcoming artist section in Better Interior Magazine in November 2010. My clientele includes people from all over the world -India, Hong Kong, Malaysia , Singapore ,South Africa,UK,Australia and the US – where my paintings have been part of interior decoration and family memorabilia

| Description | Women in India are considered their family's provider for an increasingly valuable material: water. Women are in charge of gathering water every day for use in their homes and on their land. A day's supply of water can amount to multiple trips to a local well for women. Indian women must travel longer to find new sources of water, and this affects their lives daily..... This is the burden they have to bear daily just to quench their thirst ... Hence the title !!??(Ref: The Water Project) In this painting, I have created a textured background with dill paper and matte gel. The background was done using liquid acrylic and the lady was sketched on top. I created colored textured dill paper using acrylic paint and bubble wrap. Not exactly easy to handle but sure creates interesting textures. |
