Alix Hallman Travis, “Winter Approaches”, Oil on canvas, 30×30 in., $1500. 2019. The area encompassed from the east looking over the Hudson River, west into the Catskill Mts. has two different micro climates. This painting captures a colorful October with fall follage on one side of the Hudson R. and see winter snow approaching from the western mountains.
My paint is applied with a palette knife which gives a sparkling surface to a toned canvas.
