Maria Bernal Diaz is a Spaniard artist based in New York City. Originally from Seville, Spain, she started studying art since she was twelve years old and appreciates the beauty of traditional and abstract art. She has a passion for architecture, design and mathematics that she grasped from her parents, a mathematician and an architect. Her paintings are based on the concept on line being infinite and everything in this world being made out of lines. She also makes sugar sculptures condemning the abuse in the consumption of sugar in the United States and how it has affected too many people in the country. Maria got her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences of Studio Art in Westchester Community College (Valhalla, NY) and is now working towards a Bachelor Degree in Studio Art at Hunter College (New York, NY).
