The Mural of “Black Lives Matter” has spread nationwide.

“Black Lives Matter,” a street mural painted in Washington D.C. on June 6th, is a call to action and has become a protest slogan now spreading across cities nationwide.

In NYC on June 13th, artists and volunteers joined to paint together 28 feet tall letters spanning a 375 feet long stretch in Restoration Plaza on Fulton Street in Brooklyn.

Spike Lee, Reverend Al Sharpton, and Letitia James the State Attorney General grabbed rollers and yellow traffic paint and began painting the slogan kicking off the project.

Mayor De Blasio via his tweet stated that the “Black Lives Matter” mural on Fulton Street between New York and Brooklyn Avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant will be protected, and the area will become a pedestrian zone during the summer months.”

The project could be happen in other boroughs in NYC.
